Raymond Clay was born on November 1, 1942 to the late Herbert and Lucille Clay of Bellwood, TN. Raymond was one of twelve siblings. Raymond is a member of the Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He passed away on June 25, 2025 at the age of 82 years old with his loving wife, Mary Clay, by his side. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Clay, Jr.; five brothers, and four sisters.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Clay to whom he married on October 18, 1996 (28 years). He is also survived by his daughter, Connie Singletary; two sisters, Olivia (Bobby) Gregory, Donnie Bailey; step-daughter, Melinda Duncan; step-son, Mark Vinson; step-granddaughter, Markisha Walden (LaVontai); step-grandson, Mikyan Duncan; sister-in-law, Cynthia Rucker; mother-in-law, Georgia Vinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
