Ronald James Seal, affectionately known as Ron, was born on December 8, 1938, in Sneedville, Tennessee. He departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 3, 2025, in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Ron dedicated his entire professional life to a career in sales, where he made many connections and friendships along the way. He was a graduate of Morristown East High School in Morristown, TN, which laid the foundation for a life characterized by his friendly demeanor and outgoing personality. True to his nature, Ron was someone who loved to talk and never met a stranger.
Throughout his life, Ron nurtured a variety of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed the thrill of riding motorcycles and embraced the great outdoors by camping and fishing. His passion for travel took him to numerous destinations, and he was a fervent fan of NASCAR, a sport that brought him joy and excitement.
Ron leaves behind a cherished family, including his beloved wife of 51 years, Carolyn Seal. He is survived by his children, Rhonda Hopewell, Kay Fudge (Jim), Pam Orum (David), and Ronald "Jamie" James Seal, Jr. (Tristen). Ron's legacy also lives on through his sister, Bernice Seal, and an adoring group of grandchildren—Jennifer Douglas (Paul), Austin Kretzer (Veronica), Matthew Fudge (Christina), Thomas Fudge (Brittini), Kaitlin Wooten (Jonathan), Kaiya Seal, Miller Seal, Maeser Seal, Bridger Seal, and Vivienne Seal—as well as his great-grandchildren, Simon Douglas, Olivia Wooten, Nora Fudge, James Fudge, Dorothy Fudge, and Brooklyn Wooten.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Agnes Green, R.H. Seal, Ralph Seal, Ray Seal, Billy Joe Seal, Louise Welch, and Bonnie Jo Busler.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. from West Haven Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN with Dr. Jonathan Richerson officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Haven Baptist Church, 5860 Lebanon Road, Lebanon, TN 37087.
