Raymond E. Johnson, 69, of 3rd Street, Kennedy, passed away unexpectedly due to Dementia on Thursday (February 12, 2026) in the Emergency room at UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born March 31, 1956 in Jamestown the son of the late, Raymond L. and Barbara Jean (Mullerschon) Johnson.

Ray attended Falconer High School and retired from Lin Care in Jamestown in 2018. In earlier years he had worked for 27 years at VacAir Alloys in Frewsburg.

He was a very talented musician who played in many area bands over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, Rosie and Abbey. He was often seen riding his Harley Davison Motorcycle. He also enjoyed art and drawing.

He is survived by a son, Timothy (Nicole) Johnson, two sisters; Teresa (Roger) Grover of Randolph and Cheryl (Late Douglas) Grover of Kennedy, Nieces and Nephews, Aaron (Tricia) Grover and their son Jacob of Randolph, Amanda (Andy) Towne and their children; Tanner and Liam, of Jamestown, Andrew Grover of Randolph, as well as Elaine DeGiglio, Tammy Huddleson, Laura Leighton and Beth Grover, as well as two grand-daughters and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond L. and Barbara Jean and a sister, Patricia E. Cherry.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (February 21, 2026) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, from where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday. Rev. Al Meyers, Pastor of Levant Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Randolph Cemetery.
