Raymond Terry Molde, age 77, of Menomonie passed away peacefully with complications of pneumonia with family by his side on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron.
Terry was born on December 6, 1947 in Rochester, MN to Raymond and Doris (Nereson) Molde. He was the 5th in a family of 6 boys. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School and after graduation started employment in the drywall trade.
Terry married Dorothy Tolleffson of St. Charles, MN in 1969. They had two children, Kori and Joby and were later divorced but remained good friends. Terry and his brother, Monte (Tego) moved to Black River Falls for employment with Lewis Drywall and then moved to the Menomonie area and worked several years for Christensen Drywall, Neilsville, in commercial drywall construction.
On a special day, January 2, 1988 he met Jane Johnson, Menomonie, and they were married June 10, 1989 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Terry started his own drywall business, Molde Drywall, and was known for his quality work. Many considered him and his crew the best in the area! After years of suffering with pain from his degenerative disc disease he still managed to do some drywall repair after retiring.
Terry had a love for the outdoors, deer hunting, football and was an avid fan of the Vikings, word search puzzles and watching westerns, his fav - Gunsmoke. Terry enjoyed yardwork, vegetable and flower gardening with Jane. He was very proud when they were awarded "Yard of The Month" in June of 2023. They loved inviting family and friends over for summer cookouts listening to Folk Music, 60's, Classic Country and also hosting their annual Christmas parties.
Family was very important to Terry and Jane. They raised two of their grandchildren as their own and would not have traded those special times for anything in the world. Terry's fondest memories of growing up was on the farm in Saratoga, MN with a babbling trout stream and riding his favorite pony, Trigger. As part of his final wishes, part of him will return "home" to Saratoga.
Terry is survived by his wife Jane Molde of 35 years, Menomonie; his children, Kori Molde, Menomonie, Joby (Stephanie) Molde, Wheeler, step-son Luke Johnson, Menomonie; grandchildren Bailey (Nick) Pape, Colorado, Luke Johnson Jr., Menomonie, Cole, Brandi, Erick, Tristin, Menomonie, Willow, Wheeler, and step-grandson Hunter Clemetson, Marshfield; brother Monte (Carol) Molde, Menomonie; sister-in law Barb Molde, Hastings; brother & sister in-law Don and Debby Johnson, Colfax, and sister in-law Barb Johnson, Menomonie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by parents and brother Gene, St. Charles, brother Chuck and sister in-law Patricia, Byron, Arlan and sister in-law Kathy, Elk River, brother Jim, Hastings, Dorothy Molde, St Charles along with many special aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at Olson Funeral Home, Menomonie. Visitation will be at 11:30 A.M. until time of service at 12:30 P.M.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax, Wisconsin.
