Rebecca Ann "Beckie" Comstock, 74, of Havana, passed away at her home at 3:38 a.m., on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born December 16, 1949, in Canton, Illinois, to John and Beulah M. (Niederer) Towery. She married Ronald Comstock, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Havana, on October 21, 1978.
Mrs. Comstock is survived by her husband, Ronald; one daughter: Lucretia (Alan Barker) Duncan, and granddaughter: Olivia Mae Duncan, all of Havana. Also surviving is one sister: Brenda Towery, of Ohio, as well as two sisters-in-law: Judy Martin of Normal, Illinois, and Margaret "Peggy" Towery, of Grove City, Ohio; and in-laws: Suzanne Boussaard, Randy Comstock, Vicky Geissler, Pam Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, John Comstock; and two brothers: Paul Towery and Don (Janice) Towery.
Mrs. Comstock was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she had worked as the church secretary for many years. She was also a hairdresser for many years and a bus driver for the Havana School District. She was member of the Havana Women of Today. She was well known for her baking and generosity.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Havana, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Ian Heinze will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Havana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset medical expenses. Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, is in charge of arrangements.
