Rebecca Helms

1931 - 2026

Rebecca Ann Helms (94) went to be with the Lord on March 05, 2026. She was born April 04, 1931 in Spencer, North Carolina to the late Amon W. Helms and Jo Ann Rogers Helms.



Beckie grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Central High School- class of 1949. She then attended Queens College and North Carolina Women's College.

After working for a bank and attorney, she joined Allstate Insurance Company in 1958 progressing through the ranks to Human Resource Division Manager. Throughout her career with Allstate, Beckie lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Dallas, Texas, and finally moved back to Charlotte, NC where she retired. She then helped her sister, Betty Jo, care for their aging parents.



Beckie loved her family, friends, and Westie dogs. Being a real social butterfly, Beckie enjoyed playing card games with all. She also loved to go out to eat with friends for birthday celebrations. You could also see her walking her Westies around the neighborhood.



Beckie adopted several beloved Westie dogs from West Highland White Terrier rescues. To be one of her Westie would mean you were living the "good life!"



Beckie was also a devoted Church member at Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte. She liked to volunteer whenever needed. When Beckie was unable to attend Church services, she faithfully watched the service online.



Survivors include a niece, Caroline Glenn and her Husband, Jimmy Glenn, and several cousins.



Beckie was a loved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend and she will be deeply missed.



At her request, there will be no funeral service. She will be entombed at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery in Charlotte
