Rebecca "Becky" McCune passed away peacefully on October 09, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born on August 17, 1965, and spent most of her youth growing up in a small rural town, called Montezuma, Kansas.
Becky worked for a labor staffing company for over 30 years. She married her best friend and love of her life Marc McCune on March 26, 2016. When she married Marc and moved away to Okatie, South Carolina her company wanted her expertise so much they set her up with her own business, McCune Claims Services, LLC. Becky took up golf and became a good golfer. Becky would golf with Marc on the weekends, and they played in community tournaments. She also adored her best 'fur-baby' friend, a dog named Penny. Every evening, they would go around the neighborhood looking for squirrels and other wildlife.
She was a patient and fiercely loyal friend, and her creativity seemed to know no limits - crocheted scarves and blankets, beaded jewelry, painting, sewing, turning an old door into a bench. Becky had a huge heart - always giving thoughtful gifts including the handmade ones and volunteering for the Special Olympics. She was one of the most naturally fun and funny people her friends ever met with every memory of her having a smile attached.
Becky was predeceased by her parents, John Harvey and Dionne "Dee" Maurer, and older brother Calvin Harvey. She will be greatly missed by her husband Marc McCune, older brother Karl Harvey, nephew Kerrie Harvey, and her beloved dog Penny.
