Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" (Turner) McDade, 84 of Uvalda, Georgia peacefully passed away Monday, July 14th, 2025, at home with her husband, Phil McDade by her side. Becky and Phil were both from Hillsborough, North Carolina. They grew up together until life interrupted them. They reunited in Hillsborough in 1977 and married on July 21st, 1978. She became part of the Uvalda Georgia community with him. There was nothing that Becky loved more than babies, except Phil. With life throwing some unexpected curves, she and Phil looked after and raised four grandkids and one great grandson. Becky owned and operated Becky's Woods & Crafts. She was great with her wooden decorations that she cut out and painted. Some were gifts for family and friends, others she sold. Becky had a maze of flowers at their home. Everywhere she and Phil went, Becky came back with new flowers or cuttings from family, friends, and nurseries. Phil and Becky even had their own garden full of vegetables. Becky, or "Nana" and "Maw Maw", as she was known, passed on her love of plants and gardening to her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bunn Grady Turner and Lorene Minnis Turner; her sister Billie T. Wagner; her sons, Graham "Bo" Forest Knight Jr, and Bunn Walter Knight; and her stepdaughter, Phyllis McDade Davis.

Her survivors include her husband and true love of 47 years Philip W. McDade; her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Knight of Salisbury, North Carolina; her stepdaughter, Michelle McDade Doering of Brunswick; her son/ great-grandson, Fred Eugene Foster (Bree) of Hawkinsville; her brother, Don N. Turner (Jenny) of Bolivia, North Carolina; Her granddaughters, Nicole Foster and Tabatha Davis (Wanda); her grandsons, Jonathan Knight, Jonathan Davis (Kyla), Justin Davis (Gabby), and Caleb Davis (Hayley).

The family would like to thank Community Hospice for all of their help, especially their CNA "T" who gave exceptional care. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Tammy Thomas and Ashley Hudson for their assistance and unfailing love to Becky and the family.

The family will have a celebration of life honoring her at the Uvalda Community Center on Saturday, August 23rd at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through stjude.org
