Reid Jackson Stubbs, 16, of Hutchinson, died February 18, 2024. He was born June 4, 2007, in Hutchinson, to Jarad R. Stubbs and Kristen L. Brookshire.
Reid was a Junior at Buhler High School. He loved God, family and friends. Hunting and fishing were his passion. He was on the Fishing Team and FFA at Buhler High School.
Reid is survived by: his father, Jarad Stubbs; mother, Kristen Brookshire; brother, Maclain Stubbs; sisters, Savannah Stubbs (Garrett Justice), Krissa Brookshire, Mara Stubbs; grandparents, Phil & Linda Stubbs; great-grandmother, Jewell Rowland; uncles and aunts, Josh & Brittany Stubbs, Jason & Amy Stubbs, Tressa & Kraig Klassen, Taylor & Tyler Duetscher; nephew, Colter Justice; cousins, Chandler, Ethan, Camden, Vitaliy, Ellie, Ian, Jackston, Chloe, and Indie.
He was preceded in death by: his great-grandparents, Leo & Dixie Leach, Jack & Frances Jo Stubbs, Nicholas & Brenda Brookshire; and cousin, Mesa Klassen.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Peace Valley Cemetery, rural Sterling.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at CrossPoint Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reid Stubbs Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
