Rena Jones Moses

Rena J. Moses, 84, Shelbyville, died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at University of Louisville Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Loyal, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Linzy and Mary Faye Hunt Jones. She retired after 37 years of service as an electronic technician for AT&T.
Rena was an avid reader, former member of two book clubs and a master gardener. Additionally, she loved to travel, having visited at least fourteen countries in her lifetime. Among other places, her travels took her to China, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Jordan and Petra (the city built into a rock wall). She was a former member of the Episcopalian faith.
In addition to her parents, two children, Jeffery Stephen "Steve" Moses and Ronald Gene Moses, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Christopher Valentin Moses and Ian Nikolai Moses, both of Brooklyn, NY.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been selected. There will be no services, and the cremated remains will be privately interred at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville beside her son, Steve.
