Rene Calderon, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on November 13th, 2023 in Mesa Arizona.
He was born on November 8th, 1978 in El Paso TX, to Luis & Gloria Calderon. Growing up the firstborn, he set the example for his two younger brothers on what a son should be and lead by example with his big brother duties which he did like no other.
He resided in Odessa TX, for most of his adult life. He welcomed his first daughter in 1999. A year later he met his wife Elizabeth, the love of his life. They were happily married for 23 years and together they had three children; two daughters and his one and only son. He was blessed to have had the opportunity to be a father which was his greatest accomplishment in life. He went above and beyond for his children and his wife. He could always be found proudly bragging of their accomplishments or of the shenanigans they would get into.
Rene loved spending time with his family. Wether it was gearing up for an event or new adventure with his wife, getting into some fun trouble with his kids, riding his chopper with his brothers, playing cards or drinking a glass of whiskey with a cigar in his hand. There was never a dull moment with him around.
He had a notable career in the oilfield which was his life and as of recent the music business became his passion. Success followed his many business ventures and together with his wife they started two companies. These ventures gave him the ability to meet and impact so many people's lives throughout so many years.
He will be greatly missed by many but fiercely loved by his family always. He will forever be remembered for his generosity and big heart, as well as for being the best son, brother, husband and father a family could ever ask for.
He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Calderon, their three children Brianna Calderon, Danica R. Calderon, and Nicholai A. Calderon. His daughter Itati A. Calderon, parents Luis & Gloria Calderon, brothers Ivan Calderon and Eduardo Calderon.
So with a whiskey glass raised in the air we say we'll see you on the other side.
Services will be privately held at this time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa and condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com

I felt honored getting invited to his wife's birthday party at his house. He was always soo humble and always took the time to speak with me when i needed some words of encouragement!

We briefly met Mr Calderon recently. He was very welcoming to not only me, but my friends. For this, we are grateful. We offer a toast. We'll be sure to tell of this fine memory over the years, likely with wistful smiles. Blessings to all he left, far too soon.
