I found out today of Renee's passing. Richard and Renee were childhood friends with my brother, Peter, and I. I was greatly blessed by the many hours I shared with Renee, Richard and their wonderful grandparents, Mr and Mrs Newell, as well as their siblings and their fabulous dog, King.
My cup of life was filled by the generosity and loving atmosphere of their childhood home in Old Metairie. Many of my fondest memories come from being included in their family fun.

Renee and I have been the best of friends for the last 50 years. . She was not only my best friend, but I looked up to her as my big sister. We considered Renee and her family as our family. I will always cherish the memories of the wonderful times we spent over the years. I was honored to be chosen her Maid of Honor some 45 years ago. I have watched Renee and Francis raise two beautiful children. Renee was the best friend, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. She was a great role model not only for her family, friends, and students, but for everyone she came in contact with. Heaven has gained a glorious angel. My deepest sympathy to Francis, Sean, Lesley and their whole family. Love you, Renee, and will miss you always.

Francis, I know you will be lost without your soul mate, Renee. When my mom was alive, she used to love coming to her house with Aunt Elmire. God bless you and the kids. Your cousin, Kathy Ory

I know Renee from many years of going to St. Mark's School and Church. Our daughters were always friends and still are. She was such a kind loving person and so enthusiastic about the Girl Scouts. One day we were chaperoning some Girl Scouts on an outing and weren't told where the group would be picked up. Its was an anxious time but Renee kept us all cal calml and saved the day. Renee and the whole family are in my prayers.
