She was born on December 19, 1944, at White Oak Creek, Humphreys County, TN to Eureta and Henry Johnson. Retha was one of a kind, very independent, had a giving heart, loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served Him most of her adult life. Retha is preceded in death by father, Henry Martin Johnson; mother, Eureta Elizabeth Smith Johnson; brothers, Martin Dwayne Johnson and wife, Fran, James Howard Johnson, and Robert Monroe Johnson; and sisters, Mary Catherine Buck and husband, Neal, Cora Sue Kimball, and Ola Ruth Best and husband, Jim.

A graveside service will be held for Ms. Retha at Curtis Chapel Cemetery in McEwen, TN on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Mark Gabert officiating the service.
