Reza Salavani

Reza Salavani, 65, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, at VITAS Healthcare, with his loving wife by his side.

Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Reza moved to the United States in 1978 to attend Norfolk State University in Virginia, where he studied Electrical Engineering. After graduating, he worked as an electrical engineer for several companies in Norfolk, Virginia.

In 1990, Reza joined the U.S. Air Force as an Energy Program Engineer at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. Over a dedicated 35-year career, he rose to the role of Energy Program Manager, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues across the field. In 2009, he completed a Master of Science in Management from Troy University in Alabama, along with numerous professional certifications.

Reza was a long-time member of Tribe Church in Panama City, Florida, where he found a strong sense of community and faith.

He lived a life defined by loyalty, humor, integrity, and deep devotion to his loved ones. Reza's warm smile, quick wit, and caring heart brought joy to everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and fierce love for family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.

Reza is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Meetra Jamali, and their cherished dog, Rommy. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, three brothers, four sisters and three stepchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, October 18, 2025 in the Chapel of Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gerlecz officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests from 1:30pm until time of service at the funeral home.
