Ricardo E. Miranda

Ricardo (Ric, Carding or Cards) Elamparo Miranda was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He died on June 30, 2023 from complications due to a long term illness. Ricardo is survived by his wife Leticia, his daughter Kate (Junell) Alnas, Loren (Von) Navarro with their two children Khyle Richard and Haneesha Kale. He also leaves behind his siblings Lilia (Cesar) Mojica, Orlino (Lucila) Miranda, and Helina (+Henry) Miraflor. His extended family who loved him deeply from his nephews, nieces, and his Oxnard grandchildren Macy, Deegan and Aiden who held a special place in their hearts for Papa Ow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Custodio and Edmunda along with his five siblings, Josefina Escala, Leonida Echon, Fidelina Edora, Teresita Ebdane, and Leticia Tiongquico.
He was born to Custodio and Edmunda Miranda on December 26, 1955. On record his birthday is registered on February 4, 1955 because of a fire that destroyed birth records in Masinloc. So he enjoyed two birthdays. He was the youngest of 9 children and the second boy in the family. After graduating from San Andres High School, Ricardo went on to college and graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with an emphasis in Banking and Finance. He began a banking career in Manila with Philippine Banking. There he met his future wife, Leticia Almario. They were wed on January 18, 1983, he was able to wish her a Happy 40th Anniversary before his health took a turn. Ric and Letty were blessed with two daughters, Kate and Loren. He was very proud of his daughters and loved them deeply. He was especially proud to be a grandfather and was able to keep in touch with Khyle and Hanee through video calls. The special bond he held with Leticia knew no bounds, his family was his will to live. It was his wish to go home and be with his family.
