Dick was a 1943 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden, and a WWII Navy Veteran. He graduated from Philadelphia School of the Bible and spent most of his life pastoring churches while employed as a mechanical engineer. He was co-director of the Christian Servicemen's Center in Wrightstown, NJ, for many years. For the last forty years until his passing, he pastored Jobstown Community Bible Church. His life-long dream was to preach the Gospel until he died, which he did.
The son of George and Myrtle Amber, Dick is pre-deceased by his wife, Ruth E. Amber, his brother, Edward, and his son-in-law, Jerry Pfaff. He is survived by his three daughters and spouses; Judy (Greg) Harvey, Beth (Gary) Hoffman, and Sue Pfaff. He was PopPop to eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00PM with a service following at 7:00PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Interment will be private.
