Reno was a true local treasure, working diligently in the oilfield at Texaco - Island Operational Company. He poured his heart into his work, but it was his passions outside of work that truly made him shine! Whether he was cutting grass, joyfully riding around town, or engaging in friendly banter with anyone he met, Reno never met a stranger. His easygoing nature and problem-free attitude meant he could brighten anyone's day with a smile, a joke, or a kind word. Living life to the fullest wasn’t just a phrase for Reno; it was a lifestyle.
Reno’s love for his family was immense! He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy West Ardoin, who shared countless adventures with him. Their sons, Chad Ardoin of Ville Platte and Rusty Ardoin, and wife, Jamie of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Taylor Ardoin, Alaina Ardoin and fiancé, Kade Tremie, and Clint Ardoin and significant other, Madison Macip as well as a cherished great-grandfather to William and Jace Tremie; John Taylor, Vivian, Laura Kate, and Ellis Ardoin. He is also fondly remembered by his dear brother-in-law, James Gary West, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Cougevan; and niece, Jennifer Cougevan. His glowing love radiated through his family and will continue to be felt for generations to come.
He now joins in heaven his parents, Dewey Ardoin and Amy Fruge Ardoin, as well as his parents-in-laws, Joseph "Roy" West and Lillian West. He is also rejoicing with his brother-in-law, Paul "Bradley" West, who had a special place in his heart.
