Richard M. Faix passed away on July 24, 2023. He was 83 years of age and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, PA.
Richard proudly graduated from Father Judge High School, coached boys baseball, winning first place for 11 years. Their last year they placed first in the overall tournament..
He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during the beginning of the Vietnam War. He was selected to play baseball for the Army's Traveling Team.
After his discharge from the Army, he worked for the Defense Mapping Agency, Hydrographic Center at the U.S. Naval Yard for 25+ years.
Richard was a car enthusiast since 1956. Over the years, Richard participated in many car shows. He entered many different cars, Mustangs and Corvettes. He always won 1st place.
He also worked at his "dream job" driving cars for Hertz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Faix, his Mother, Anna M. Faix (Tait), his sister, Mary Ann Faix Nolan, his uncle, Edward J.Tait, his aunt, Ann C.Tait, and his cousin, Francis "Frank" Tait,
He is survived by his cousins, Theresa Bitzer (Tait) and Anne Marie Cobb (Tait)
Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:30AM in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
