Richard "Ricky" Eugene Hansard, age 67 of Clermont, GA passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born in Duluth, GA on November 21, 1957.
Ricky is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Ellen Hansard; grandparents, Grady and Hattie Hansard, mother-in-law, Belma Shadburn. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tina Shadburn Hansard, daughter, Dawn (Kevin) Savage; sons, Drew (Heather) Hansard, Daniel (Tia) Hansard; grandchildren, Olivia Savage, Easton Savage, Noah Hansard, Micah Hansard, Anderson Hansard, Bryson Hansard and Callan Hansard; father-in-law, Rev. Joel Shadburn; eight brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ricky was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Free Chapel Worship Center and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years of service.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 At The Chapel on McEver (Free Chapel Worship Center) 3001 McEver Rd Gainesville, GA with Rev. Joel Shadburn, Rev. Dwayne Welborn and Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. The interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Drew Hansard, Daniel Hansard, Kevin Savage, Anderson Hansard, Easton Savage, Travis Shadburn and Mitch Phillips serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday May 14, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Dr Gainesville, GA. 770-297-6200.
