Richard was born on March 31, 1941, to Morris Houck and Betty Hart in Fort Worth, TX. On April 1, 1994, Richard married Linda Terry in Tucumcari, NM. Richard worked many years as an over the road truck driver. Richard loved working in the yard, watching old western movies, reading books, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; Linda Houck of the home; children; Jennifer Sorgen of Broken Arrow, OK, Chris Sorgen of Amarillo, TX, and Laura (Chris) Everett of Kissimmee, FL; siblings Carrie Martin of Charleston, AR, Wes Davis of Fort Worth, TX, Sandra (Terry) Beasley of Fort Worth, TX, and Morris (Rita) Houck of Brownsville, TX; brother-in-law George Jones of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren Daniel Valdez, Hunter Sorgen, Tate Sorgen, Brady Sorgen, Mara Michaels, Chloe Adkins, Aubrey Everett, Elise Sorgen, Charlotte Everett; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Morris and Betty, and sister, Paulette Jones.
Cremation has taken place and services are scheduled for a later date.
