Obituary published on Legacy.com by Edgley Cremation Services - West Palm Beach from Mar. 25 to Mar. 26, 2023.
Ritchie House, age 59, resident of
Boca Raton, Florida. Born and raised in
Buford, Georgia, Ritchie grew up amongst his expansive and loving family spreading joy and laughter wherever he went. As class president, Ritchie continued to be a source of fun and friendship at Buford High School. After winning the state high school football championship his freshman year in 1978 and graduating as a star student, Ritchie attended Georgia Tech and graduated in 1982 with a degree in Economics (GO JACKETS!). He furthered his education at Southern Methodist University in
Dallas, Texas to complete his masters in Financial Economics. From his first job as a line cook at Kentucky Fried Chicken, to co-founding the renowned company CompuCredit in 1996, to serving as CEO of numerous companies, most recently Flexshopper, Ritchie's life and dedication to his work exemplifies that the sky is truly the limit. However, all of the work Ritchie did was never in pursuit for himself alone, but to spread his self-earned blessings to serve his community and his family. Ritchie helped countless people pursue their passions and achieve their dreams, from funding students in their higher education, to establishing careers for family members and friends, to supporting his children in their professional and personal dreams. In and outside of the office, Ritchie was best known for his quick wit, his everlasting generosity, and his boundless love for dogs. Over his lifetime, Ritchie had eight dogs, all who adored him and the countless adventures they went on. Football was also a source of great joy for Ritchie and his family, and like his loyalty to his community and loved ones, Ritchie was a dedicated and unwavering Falcons fan through thick and thin. Ritchie's work allowed him to travel all over the world, but his favorite place was always on the water, whether that be with his dogs boating on Lake Lanier, or walking them on the beach in South Florida. As his daughter is writing this, I like to think that he is out on the water right now, listening to his favorite albums and surrounded by his dogs. Ritchie is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 36 years, Emmie, his son Trey, his daughter Ginnie Lee, his parents Linda and Rannie House, and his many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
