Richard Laverne Johnson

Richard Johnson, age 88, of Brooklyn Center, passed away October 3, 2025. Richard was born and raised on their family farm in Wolverton, Minnesota. He was hard working and dedicated. He began his career working in a warehouse loading semi trucks. He then spent the rest of his career driving semi trucks.
He was very inquisitive, wanting to know how everything works, even if that means tearing it apart to figure it out! He had the ability to fix or restore anything. This is something he shared with his sons which will leave a mark that will never fade. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling old stories. He had a special love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught his family, the love he shared and the memories we will cherish forever.
Preceded in death by parents and sister, Karen Ness.
Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Jeanne; sons, Ron (Marie) and Steve (Maureen); grandchildren, Ryan (Lindsey) Johnson, Jennifer (Carl) Lymangood, Derek (Katie) Johnson, Nick (Claire) Johnson, Brad Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Leslie Johnson, Clark (Doris) Johnson, Raymond (Ginny) Johnson, Marilyn (Mark) Roche; brother-in-law, John Ness.
Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Interment Monday 10/13 at 12noon at Salem Lutheran Cemetery Wolverton, MN
