Richard "Dick" Henry Lemin, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 79 in Seaford, Delaware. Born on August 4, 1944, in Warwick, New York, Dick lived a life marked by love and kindness.
Dick was a hard worker and always helped others. He served as Deputy Sheriff for Paterson, New Jersey's Sheriff's Department, and volunteered on the West Milford, New Jersey Ambulance Squad for over 25 years. Dick not only was an active member in helping his community, he also dedicated 30 years of his life to his work as a truck driver for Roadway where his strong work ethic and reliability were well known. Aside from his career, Dick found immense joy in the company of his family.
Dick appreciated the simple things in life; listening to music, loving his pets, driving his truck, indulging in great food such as his famous rice pudding, enjoying sports games, and spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan and passed his love of
sports on to his children. Dick was also a history buff and loved to test his knowledge by watching Jeopardy.
Dick was predeceased by his late mother, Ruth Neisel Lemin Bohen, and his brothers, Clifford Tomer and Dennis Lemin.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his wife of 60 years, Rose Lemin; his three children, Marlene Dulis (Jeff), Richard Lemin (Sandy), and Robert Lemin; his seven grandchildren, Jackie Bedaiwi (Hadi), Erika Kuzminsky (Scott), Kara Riccio (Joey), Toni Tiritilli, Tanner Tiritilli, Marina Lemin and Anthony Lemin; and his four great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Ayden and Noah Bedaiwi and Cash Kuzminsky.
Dick was a selfless man and will be remembered as the heart of the Lemin family. He
always put the needs of others before his own and cared deeply for those around him. His kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all.
