Richard P. Meuse

Richard P. Meuse, 91 of Beverly died peacefully at the Kaplan Hospice House on February 1, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Anita (Abate) Meuse.
Born in Brighton, MA on July 6, 1930 he was the son of the late Mary (Kenefick) and Paul Meuse. Richard was raised and educated in Malden and graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1948.
He enlisted in the US Army Signal Corps and was stationed in Europe as a Radar Technician until 1954.
He spent his working career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory installing wind shear detection radar in commercial and radio towers at international as well as regional airports throughout the US.
In his youth Richard along with his brother were ham radio operators. He enjoyed repairing televisions and all electrical devices.
A devoted and loving son, brother, husband, father & grandfather, he enjoyed family gatherings, planning and going on vacations and home life in Beverly Cove. His hard work, love and dedication to his family will be deeply missed and forever appreciated.
Richard is survived by a son, Gary Meuse of Beverly, two daughters, Sandra Roub and husband Jeff of Salem and Linda Klemis and partner David Dunn of Peabody. Five grandchildren; Michael Klemis and wife Jenna of Chicago, IL, David Klemis of Manchester, NH, Christine Santamaria and husband Joseph of Beverly, Sheri Durgin and husband Justin of Nashua, NH, Kelly Roub and husband Eric of Peabody. Three great grandchildren; Evan Klemis, Ethan Klemis and Scarlett Durgin.
His brother Ronald Meuse and wife Elaine of Saugus, Sisters in law; Patricia Abate, Lee Cavossa, Florence LeClerc of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters in law Aurelia "Curly" Pelonzi and husband Charles, Louise Grondin and husband Kenneth. Brothers in law Peter Abate and wife Alleyne, Fernando "Al" Abate and wife Vicky, and Dominic "Mickey" Abate.
A funeral mass for Richard will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at St John the Evangelist Church, Beverly. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery Beverly.
