Richard Gene "Dickie" Murray, 78, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was a former longtime resident of Franklin, Indiana.

He was born on October 8, 1946 in Franklin, Indiana to Beulah Mae (Helms) Murray. Dickie married Sharon (Moffett) on April 19, 2011. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by step-children, Pamela Geralds; Carla Jackson; Brenda Geralds; Amber Kent (Travis); Tony Tinsley and Larry Tinsley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by mother; brother, Edwin "Eddie" Murray and twin brother, Robert "Bobby" Murray.

Dickie attended Franklin Schools.

Dickie was employed by the City of Franklin, working in the Street Department. He retired after forty-one years of dedicated service.

He loved music and dancing. He enjoyed watching Western movies and watching Christian shows on Sundays. Dickie loved coming back home to Franklin and visiting with family and friends who meant so much to him.

A Celebration of Dickie's life will be Friday, August 22nd, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with Visitation on Friday, August 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
