Richard A. Nierman

Richard Allen Nierman, age 86, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with heart and lung disease.
Born on April 11, 1939, in Premier, West Virginia, Richard was the son of the late Tamplin and Lucille (Rose) Nierman.
A proud and hardworking man, Richard spent much of his life as a truck driver before retiring. He was known for his deep Christian faith, grounded in his belief in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Richard found peace and joy in simple pleasures-fishing on the lake, sharing stories, and spending time with his cherished family and friends.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Nierman (Worthington); his siblings, Rowland, Charles, and Marie and their seven children; Charlotte Taylor (George), Bobby, Allen (Ronalynn), Anita Long (Ken), Charles, Christopher, and David. He also leaves behind numerous adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life.
Services for Richard Allen Nierman with visitation on Thursday, July 10 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road. (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, MI. A funeral service will held on July 11th, 2025 at 10 am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road. (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, MI. There will be a procession to Roseland Park Cemetery, 290001 Woodward Ave, Berkley, MI, immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.
