Richard Powell Obituary
He was born March 29, 1959 in Joanna, SC and was a son of the late Troy and Betty J, Powell. Ricky was formerly employed with Renfro and the Presbyterian Home of Clinton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the Laurens County Speedway.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his daughters, Cheryl Prater (Kris) of Newberry, and Courtney Gary (AJ) of Spartanburg; his son, Tyler Powell (Becky Holt) of Clinton; his grandsons, Austin Gary, Craig Hamby, Michael Harrison, and Cody Harrison; his two sisters, Ann and Darlene, and his step grandson, Devon Prater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Powell.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Mike Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Powell family with arrangements.
