Richard Charles Readling

Richard Charles Readling, 61, of Jensen Beach, Florida passed away on January 15, 2023. Richard was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on March 31, 1961 and resided in Florida for most of his life. He moved to Maryland in 1992 and married Danette Gates in 1996. His son, Corey Readling, was born in 1999 and was raised in Maryland. Richard returned to Florida in 2019.
Florida was his home. He absolutely loved Jupiter. Some of his favorite pastimes were going to the beach, swimming in the ocean, jet skiing, soaking up the sunshine and spending time with his friends and family. Richard spent most of his career in the automobile industry. He loved sales, meeting new people, and talking to everyone! Richard also loved animals. He had two black labs named Abbey and Buddy that were his fur best friends. Buddy used to ride the Jet Ski with him! He volunteered at a local animal shelter and was able to find fitting homes for several of the pets.
Richard loved his family. He was especially proud of Corey. He loved attending Corey's sports games including lacrosse, baseball, basketball, soccer, and flag football. He was so proud of Corey's accomplishments including becoming an Eagle Scout and, after graduating High School, attending recording school to become a certified Audio Engineer. Richard loved listening to the songs Corey produced. He had a huge sense of humor and made everyone laugh and smile.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother Margaret "Peg" Henry Readling, his father Henry Readling, his brothers Robert Readling and Mike Readling. He is survived by his brother, William Readling of Pensacola, FL., sisters Helen Mahler of Westfield, Mass, Patrice Althouse of Lake Worth, FL, son Corey Henry Readling of Severna Park, MD, granddaughter Riverlynn Rose of Severna Park, MD, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and family. He also leaves behind many friends in Maryland and Florida.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Carlin Park in Jupiter, Florida located at 400 Florida A1A, Jupiter, FL 33477 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Carlin Park was a favorite spot of Richard's. Please bring your funniest stories of times you shared with Rich. This is what he would want!
