Tillson - Richard E. Reed, 87, of Tillson passed away on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn February 14, 1938 a son of the late George And Caroline Brodsky Reed. A Tillson resident most of his life Rich had been employed by IBM in Kingston as a system analyst. He had been employed since 1956 and retired in 1993.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with many trips to the Adirondacks and a hunting camp at Schroon Lake. He also travelled to Canada to hunt and fish.

Rich was a life long member of NRA, a 60+ year member with the New Paltz Rod and Gun Club,
a long time member of the Rosendale Sportsmen's Association, the Federated Sportsmans Club of Ulster County, the Upper Esopus Fish and Game Club and the Vibrations Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Winpen Reed, his daughter Debora Reed, his son Robert Reed, granddaughter Brianna Reed, grandson Kyle Reed, his sister Carolyn Staley and his nephew Richard Staley. A son, Steven Reed, died previously.
Memorial visitation and Celebration of his Life will be on 3 to 6 PM Wednesday October 22 at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. A 6 PM there will be a time of sharing and remembrance. Cremation was held privately. www.GJMoylanFuneralHome.com
