I didn't know Rick long. My husband and I moved caddy-cornered across the street from Rick in 2019. Rick was so friendly and kind. When my husband got COVID-19, Rick was the only one in the neighborhood to ask about him. I moved back to Illinois after my husband died but I stayed in touch with Rick through cards and notes each month even after he moved to assisted living. He was a very nice man. I learned of his death April 1st when my March card was returned marked "deceased". My sincere sympathy to his family. I think he has some cousins in Ohio.

Rick was an incredible human being. He was a friend to all of his classmates and a valuable assistant in sports. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was my best friend in Norton High School, and I'd bet there at least a hundred other of my fellow alumni that would make the same statement. Everyone wanted to be his friend and, although he was small in stature, somehow his heart was big enough to let us all in and make each of us feel as though we were HIS best friend. He was truely one of a kind. Rest in peace Rick, you will be missed!
