Richard Carl Stefurak
Richard Carl Stefurak passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2024. He was 79 years old.
Richard was born on October 26, 1944 in Erie, PA and lived most of his adult life in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Francis Stefurak Senior and Frances Elizabeth Eibeck and his brother Louis Francis Stefurak Junior. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Diane Stefurak of Pittsburgh, PA and his loyal furry companion, Tess. He is also survived by his loving sisters Georgiana Kunz and Emily Longo (Jerry); his children Kimberly Zimmelman (Eric), Sandra Mazzeo, Richard Louis Stefurak, Justin Gonda, Megan Boyd (Jim), Kathryn Gonda, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Richard proudly served in the Marine Corps, holding the distinguished rank of Corporal as a radio telephone operator. He attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, ultimately graduating with a biology degree from Gannon University in Erie. He went on to have a long career in medical sales. Richard found solace and joy in activities such as golfing, hunting, watching hockey, cherishing moments with his grandkids, and in the serenity of nature, where he found his truest happiness.
Please join us in celebrating him with a service at St John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Rd., Pittsburgh, PA,15237 on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
