Richard John Stofko, 85, of McCandless Township passed away on August 7, 2025. Son of the late John and Cecelia Stofko; husband of 63 years to Josephine; father to Christine Stofko, Diane (Nick) Sfamenos, Michael (Sarah) Stofko, Jennifer (Seth) Bailey, the late Richard "Ricky"; grandfather to Jessica (Jason), Amanda, Paul, Megan, Rae Anna (Christian), John, Elijah, and Noah; great-grandfather to Deanna (Liam), Dylan, Jacob, Ryan, and Lucy; brother to the late James and Edward; and brother-in-law to Madaline Stofko.

Rich graduated from North Catholic High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He met Josie, the love of his life, while stationed in Puerto Rico as a military police officer. Rich then went on to have a lifelong career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. Faith was a very important part of Rich's life and he spent many years volunteering as an active member of his church. Always a supportive patriarch, he was proud to celebrate all of the accomplishments of his family through the years. He spent the years of his retirement enjoying quality time with his family, good food (especially a good piece of carrot cake) word searches, and watching sports. He will be lovingly remembered by the many people he encountered, especially for his quick wit and sense of humor.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him"
