Obituary of Richard Earl Zimmerman
Richard Earl Zimmerman, 56, beloved husband of Teresa Thomas Zimmerman, passed away Saturday afternoon at his home following a lengthy illness.
Richard was born in Aiken, SC on August 8, 1966 a son of the late Earl and Evie Watson Zimmerman. Richard attended Shiloh Baptist Church and was a body technician with Kendrick Auto Body & Repair in Aiken. Richard loved NASCAR, fishing, hunting & camping; however, his most treasured times were when he was able to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole & David Dubose; his son and daughter-in-law, Phillip & Gennie Morris; his sister and brother-in-law, Christine & Chip Wilson; 6 grandchildren, Amber Eubanks, Austin Richardson, Alyana Krueger, Dylan Dubose, Colby DuBose & Aiden Morris; 9 great-grandchildren, Easton, Braelynn, Riverlynn, Releigh, Brantley, Brooks, Blair, Hayzlee & Elijah. Richard is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jean Fulmer Thomas and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan & Dennis White and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00am in the sanctuary of Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Road, Aiken, SC 29805 with Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in the church sanctuary from 10:00am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Shiloh Baptist Church Annie Armstrong Easter Offering or to the Aiken County Animal Shelter, 333 Wire Road, Aiken, SC 29805.
