Rick was born in Hannibal, MO to the late Sam and Mavis (nee O'Brien) Tredway.
He was the devoted husband of Janet Tredway (nee Poage) for 58 cherished years; loving father of Jill (John) Howald, Brett Tredway, and Tara Tredway; beloved grandfather of Carson, Jack, Avrie, Brooklyn, and Chase.
Rick proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time working in his yard. He was known for having the most well kept yard on the block and the cleanest car. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren participate in their favorite sports/activities. He was a dedicated sports watcher and a long-time fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family as well as the endless memories made. He will be deeply missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Fork Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center on Friday, January 31st from 3-7pm.There will be an additional visitation for Rick at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry, MO on Saturday, February 1st from 10-12pm with the service beginning at 12pm. Burial will follow at South Fork Cemetery in Perry, MO.
