Rick Villarreal, 64, of
Bryan, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Rick was born on March 24, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert and Mary Ann Villarreal. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1979, then began his career with Safeway Stores, where he worked for ten years. During this time, he met the love of his life, Terri, while working at Safeway, and they married on December 4, 1987. He then joined Occidental Chemical Corporation for several years before becoming a franchisee for CiCi's Pizza.
Moving his family from Mesquite to Bryan, Rick was enthusiastic to embark on a new adventure as a business owner in Aggieland. In October 1996, he opened his first CiCi's Pizza in College Station. Seven years later, he proudly opened a second location in Bryan. Both locations remain open for business today.
Rick was more than a business owner; he was a hands-on operator who poured his heart into his work. He was known for his dedication, leadership, work ethic, and the countless employees he motivated and mentored throughout the years. CiCi's Pizza was his home away from home, and he sincerely loved every minute of it.
Affectionately known for his generosity and kindness, Rick supported numerous schools, churches, organizations, clubs, and athletic teams across the Brazos Valley for almost thirty years. He will be remembered for his passion for giving back to the community and providing opportunity to others.
Rick deeply loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them, especially his grandchildren. As an avid sports fan, Rick also loved cheering for the Texas A&M Aggies and remained a lifelong supporter of his hometown Dallas teams-the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Terri; daughters Veronica (and husband Taylor) and Priscilla; grandchildren Tyson, Cameron, and Brianne; parents Robert and Mary Ann Villarreal; sister Becky; brother Bob; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and team at St. Joseph Hospital for their unwavering care and compassion.
