Rickey Wheeler Obituary

Rickey retired from World Kitchen, where he worked as a dedicated glass handler. In his free time, he will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing and hunting, and enjoying a cold beer. He had a knack for spotting deals on Facebook Marketplace, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his great-grandbabies. Rickey was a loving provider and a generous man, always willing to lend a hand. While he was known to have a touch of road rage, those who knew him best knew he had a big heart and was truly a great man.
Rickey is survived by his beloved companion, Ethel Wheeler; his four children: David (Erin) Wilson of Rome, NY; Linda (Erik) Davis of Virginia; Darla Abbott of Painted Post; and Herbert Wheeler III of Painted Post. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Jones of Florida; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rickey was predeceased by his siblings: Robert Wheeler, Virgil (Bud) Wheeler, Joyce Sick, and Betty Wheeler.
In accordance with Rickeys wishes, no services will be held. Carpenters Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Rickey L. Wheeler, please visit our Tree Store.
