Rita Faye Boydston was born July 8, 1944, to William C. "Jack" and Robbie Lee (Bumgarner) White. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the age of 80.
Rita graduated from Rush Springs High School. She was married to Ronald Wayne Boydston for 42 years. She was employed as a printer/copier in the Engineering Department at Halliburton. She also was employed for 20 years as a retail supervisor at Montgomery Ward.
She loved going fishing with her family in her younger years. She also enjoyed listening to old country music. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan and loved watching OU men's football and basketball and OU women's basketball, softball, and gymnastics. Rita was a huge OKC Thunder fan. More than anything else, Rita loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her extended family.
Rita is survived by her three children: Michael "Hank" and wife Kami Bell Hamman of Lawton, Traci Michelle Hamman and life partner Sandy Day of Marlow, Ronald Scott Boydston of Duncan; grandchildren: Jesse Grenier, Kourtnee Hamman, Emily Zugg; and great grandchildren: Leo Grenier, Olive Grenier, Gavin Doughty, Gage Wilson, Jaxon Schroeder, Cason Zugg, Easton Zugg, Waylon Zugg. She is also survived by her sisters: Betty Nunley of Chickasha, Janet and husband Gerald Dirickson of Marlow. Rita had many nieces and nephews (and their children) she loved so dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Wayne Boydston; brothers: Jonny White, Mac White, Jerry Lynn "Charlie" White, James Roy White; and sister, Norma Willmon.
