Rita J. Davis, 65, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away, surrounded by her family, on August 22, 2025. She was born in Vincennes on January 21, 1960, to John and Carmia (Williams) Howder. Rita attended Lawrenceville High School. She worked as a production clerk for Perdue for 17 years before retiring. Rita married Hoyt Davis on April 23, 2001.

In her free time Rita enjoyed cooking, baking, going to casinos, watching reality tv, playing bingo and cards, making slushies, and spending time with her family especially her GPBs. She will be deeply missed by all.

Rita is preceded in death by her father John Howder; husband Hoyt Davis; granddaughter Cameron White; son-in-law Josh Cooper; brother Jeff Howder; sister-in-law Penny Howder.

She is survived by her mother Carmia Howder; children Shauna White, Leslie (Keith) Halter, Lori Cooper, Jenny (James Jr.) Hodge, Angie (Kyle) Bennett, Garrett Davis, Erinn (Roger) Stremming, Kacy (Cameron) Mitchko; grandsons Ethan Halter, Caden Bennett, Lane Bennett, Rowan Stremming; granddaughters Braylen Bennett, Kaly Hendrixson, Elizabeth Halter, Preslee Bennett; siblings John Howder, Cindy Castillo, Doug Howder.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Davis. Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 524 Broadway Street from 11 am to 1 pm. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following.
