Robert Lawrence Andersen

Norfolk - Robert Lawrence Andersen, born on July 16, 1953, in Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on October 15, 2025, in his hometown of Norfolk at the age of 72.
Robert spent his early years serving his country with dedication in the United States Navy. Following his honorable service, he found his calling as a crane operator with the Norfolk Dredging Company, where he worked diligently for many years.
In his personal life, Robert enjoyed the solace and tranquility of quiet times at home. He found comfort and peace in the simple pleasures of life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lawrence and Louise (Onofrio) Andersen. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, John T. Andersen and David W. Andersen, along with many friends who appreciated his gentle nature and steadfast presence.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services are planned. His brother will honor him by scattering his remains at a later date. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater is assisting the family during this difficult time.
