Robert "Bibbis" Aumend, age 54, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at home on November 30, 2024. Robert was born on February 24, 1970 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Robert L. Aumend and the surviving Brenda E. Aumend.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his treasured companion, his dog King.

He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Cassidy (Jason Jr.) Ellis, his mom, Brenda Aumend, his grandchildren, Alayna and Jason III, and numerous friends and family.

He was an avid lover of all things sports, including taking an occasional bet. In fact, Robert got the last laugh as he passed on the day that his beloved Wolverines beat the Buckeyes - he loved nothing more than that team up north. His other loves included Denver Broncos (who defeated the Browns on the same weekend), and the LA Lakers.

For those who knew him, knew the best of him. Always smiling, he was quick to offer a sincere hello, or a full-bodied retort. His flare for cuisine was as lively as his personality. He was the life of the party always ensuring that the music was on point. There was always a beer in the fridge and cards on the table inviting anyone to play Spades.

But his true loves were his grandchildren. Robert was always concerned with how they were doing in school just as much as he was concerned about their sports. He was their biggest fan and enjoyed annoying them for a good laugh.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 from 11am-1pm for calling hours and sharing memories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towards savings for his grandchildren's college education. Robert wouldn't want to be lavished with flowers. Always practical, he would have loved to contributed to their future.
