Obituary
Warsaw - Robert Bashoor, Jr., 76, died as the result of an accident on August 24, 2023.
Bob was born in Massillon on August 18, 1947. He was the son of Carol Jeanette (Price) and Robert W. Bashoor, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Dalton High School, and retired after 33 years with the Hoover Company of North Canton. Bob enjoyed coaching his daughter in softball, playing the guitar, dancing at The Silver Dollar, and cooking. But his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandchildren who he loved dearly. Bob had a knack for making people smile when he would rhyme, whether that was his change he got back, or making up a rhyme on the spot with someone's name.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his Aunt and Uncle, Johnny and Dorothy Bashoor; and a special friend, Karolyn Mullett.
Surviving are his children, Robert W. "Bob" Bashoor III of Massillon, and Kahla (Galen) Raber of East Canton; grandchildren, Karleigh and Kipten Bashoor; siblings, Richard A. Bashoor, and Debra (Tom) McWatters, both of Clinton, SC; and his cousins, Jack (Sue) Bashoor of Massillon, Terry (Patricia) Bashoor of Massillon, and Wendy (Les) Monnette of Southington.
A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 1 at the Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E. Main St. Warsaw, 43844. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, 3655 Wales Ave. NW, Massillon, 44646. Pastor Toby Oaks will officiate.
