Robert "Bob" Beals of North Lauderdale, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on July 31, 1935, in Shumway, Illinois, Bob's journey in life was marked by a deep passion for music and teaching, which he carried throughout his life.
Bob graduated from Beecher City High School in 1953, and from Eastern Illinois State College in 1957. He earned a Master Degree in Music from the University of Illinois in 1960, and his contributions as a beloved piano teacher left a lasting impact on his students and the community. His love for music was evident not only in his profession but also in his personal life, where he found joy in all music, including opera and contemporary musicals.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Bob was an avid traveler, a lover of the arts, and an enthusiastic reader. He was also known for his appreciation of good food, often enjoying meals shared with family and friends. A devoted member of the Plantation Presbyterian Church for 60 years, his faith played an integral role in his life.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sally, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughter, Beth Doubleday, and son-in-law, Douglas Doubleday. Together, they carry on his legacy of love and creativity.
