Robert (Bob) Last passed away Friday March 28th with his sister at his side. Bob was born September 9th 1955 in Oshkosh to parents Neil and Joyce Last.
Bob went to Oshkosh North High school and graduated from UWO studying Aquatic Biology. Adventuresome in spirit, Bob was keen to spot fun and frolic. As a young man he skied and lived in Colorado, traveled to Hawaii and made strong bonds with his friends. Bob moved back to Wisconsin working for the DNR in Madison. His major project there was a water quality study where he shared his knowledge instructing friends and volunteers how to test water clarity.
He loved the outdoors (skiing, camping and canoeing) and being with people. Always quick with a smile and a laugh he was very outgoing. Bob had the ability to quickly make friends with anyone from the very young to the very old and was certain to extend his hand in friendship and assistance. Bob had endless love of music, especially for Pink Floyd.
Bob is survived by his sister Pam (Don) Bernier Nephew Andy Kunze. Niece Haley (Nick) Butkiewiez. Great nephew, Maverick Butkiewiez. Brother DuWayne (Kathy) Last. Many cousins and lots of friends, who have always been there for him. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Special thanks to Dave (Bob's friend) for all his help and support. Edenbrook of Oshkosh for all your love and support. And Compass's hospice for all your support.
A celebration of life will be held on April 26th, 2025 at the Oshkosh Town Hall, 230 E Cty Rd Y, Oshkosh, from 10am -2pm.
