Robert “Bob” Donald Spooner 72, of Havana, FL. passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at his residence. Bob Spooner was a beloved husband, father, granddaddy, son, brother and friend. Bobby passed from this life into Heaven’s Glory.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at LifePoint Church (1224 Pedrick Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32317). His family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM. A private family interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Vicki Spooner of Havana; His son Harold Spooner of Lakewood, OH. His daughter Lori Jones (Clint) of Tallahassee, FL; Granddaughter Estella Noelle Catledge of Tallahassee, FL; Mother Barbara Spooner of Cairo, GA; Brother Dr. William “Ron” Spooner of Cairo, GA. He is also survived by his sister-n-law Teri Ricca (Dave) of Inglewood, FL, and his nieces Carla Dunn (Brian) of Tallahassee, FL; Diane Rudd (Lance) of Moreland, GA; Gina Ricca of Cornelius, NC and Nephew David Ricca (Jesse) of Michigan; and grand nephew and grand nieces.
Bobby was born in Tallahassee, FL. He lived his entire life in Havana, FL. He graduated from Florida State University in 1974 with a degree in Accounting. He was blessed with a great career, working for the Comptroller of The State of Florida as Bureau Chief of Accounting, and Bureau Chief of Auditing. He worked for 32 years for The State of Florida. Bobby often talked about the great people he worked with in leadership and the men and women who worked in his Bureaus, They had freedom to enforce the laws, thus protecting the citizens of Florida.
Bobby was a member of LifePoint Church. He helped in the children’s church and was faithful member of the worship team. He played the mandolin and blew the shofar at LifePoint Church in Tallahassee and Sonrise Ministries in Franklin, NC.
Bobby was passionate about serving at Kairos, (a prison ministry). He blew the shofar at the Women’s Pregnancy Center fund-raises, and also worked as a Financial Advisor at Carenet in Franklin, NC.
Bobby enjoyed his mountain home in Franklin, North Carolina. he enjoyed Kayaking, bicycling, hiking, traveling, walking on trails, and gazing at God’s creation through his telescopes at night. He also was a very talented photographer, landscapes and nature photos were often his main passion. Many of his treasured photos are placed around the family homes. He loved his wife, children, granddaughter, family, friends and dog Rina

He was Vicki’s best friend. We enjoyed each other’s company and doing many activities together. “I (Vicki) will miss him dearly and look forward to seeing him in heaven.
Bobby now has completeness and God’s Peace.
