Robert "Bobby" Broussard Obituary
New Iberia – Funeral services will be at Pellerin Funeral Home at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, for Robert “Bobby” Joseph Broussard, 68, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Deacon Joshua LeBlanc will officiate.
Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am on Saturday, followed by a eulogy.
A longtime resident of New Iberia, Bobby was born in Franklin, Louisiana on July 11, 1957, to the late Henry Paul and Eulalie Loustalot Broussard. He was a 1975 graduate of Catholic High School, and then obtained his B.S. from USL (now ULL). A retired contractor, Bobby was an avid outdoorsman, but the thing he cherished most in life was spending time with his grandsons. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Broussard is survived by his loving daughter, Marielle Romero (Justin); grandsons, Avery and Bennett Romero; siblings, Anne Minvielle (Leon), Mary Hosea (Bob), Paul Broussard (Debbie), and Edward Broussard (Susan); and his devoted yellow lab, Bella.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Broussard.
Because animals were so dear to Bobby’s heart, please make memorial donations to AAVA (Animal Aid for Vermilion Area), P.O. Box 445, Scott, LA 70583.
Bobby’s spirit will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.
