Robert C. Booher, 77, of Wanatah, passed away on August 1, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on May 23, 1948, in Portland, Indiana to Richard and Mildred (Miller) Booher. Bob married Margaret Davidson in 1969 and separated in 2001. He married Suzanne (Banicki) Caddo in 2002 and she passed away in 2018. On April 16, 2019, in Mishawaka, Indiana, Bob married Ellen (Saylor) Podell. He graduated from Southside High School in Muncie in 1966 and then went on to graduate from Ball State University with a B.S. in biology. He worked as an inspector for different municipalities and retired as an Indiana State Health Inspector of Hospitals, long-term care facilities and group homes. Bob loved everything about cars, especially Studebakers. He enjoyed going to plays and music events. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Ellen Booher, sons Ryan (Amy) Booher of Indianapolis and Bret (Rhonda) Booher of Marion, grandsons Whit Booher and Thaddeus Booher, brother Verly Booher of Evansville and sister-in-laws Susan Saylor and Jane Higgins. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mildred (Miller) Booher. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date this year. To sign an online guestbook, www.bartholomewnewhard.com.
