Robert Brosius Obituary
Robert was loving, kind, and generous, making friends wherever he went. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. Robert was a journeyman carpenter and owner of Brosius Door Service for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and collecting coins as well as model trains and cars in his spare time.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), 406 W. 34 St., Kansas City, MO 64111.
Private interment in Decatur, IL.

I will always feel very blessed that I was able to meet my uncle/God father a few years ago. He was definitely a character and I will definitely miss his loving remarks on my FB posts and him sending me messages on FB.

As a kid I couldn't wait to visit and go to work on doors with him or work on stuff in the barn. I even helped pull the transmission from one of his old box vans when i was 13. He taught me many things, how to fish, bowl, be good with my hands. Taught me value, pride and loyalty. But most importantly how to be a man and that nothing in life is more important than family. I will miss you Papa.

I have so many fond memories but 1 that has taught me a very valuable lesson, he tried to help me out of trouble and I have never forgotten that! Such a kind, caring, loving father, husband and friend! He lit up a room with his smile and could always make others laugh. I will miss you and hope you are in a better place now.
