Robert Henry Brzustewicz

Robert Henry Brzustewicz, Sr, age 81 of Oakland Township, passed away December 20, 2023. Loving husband of Barbara for 59 ½ years, dear father of Robert, Jr. (Andrea), Brian (Alexis) and Jeffrey (Alisha) Brzustewicz, cherished "Papa" of Jacob, Luke, Jeffrey, Layla, Parker, Hudson, Briggs, Crew, Waverly, Hannah, Hailey, Hunter, and Henry.
Bob dated his lovely wife Barb for six years and later wed in 1964, raising three wonderful sons.
In 1971, Bob earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Lawrence Technical University.
Bob is best known for his impact on the wire and cable industry in the Midwest. He started Northern Wire and Cable (NWC) in 1976. He, along with his three partners, grew NWC into one of the strongest distributors in the country.
Bob joined Empire Wire and Supply in 2001 and transformed Empire into one of the strongest Industrial distributors in North America. Bob's influence on the wire and cable industry still impacts the industry to this day.
Bob was also involved in many philanthropic organizations in metro Detroit. Bob's contributions in the area include:

• OCIMA (Overseas and Continental Independent Mercy Association)
• Notre Dame Prep academy
• Orchard Lake St Mary's
• Beaumont's Children hospital
• St Jude's Children hospital
Bob was loved and admired by those that knew him over the years, and he will be greatly missed.
