Brother Robert Lee Conley was born on November 12, 1953, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Sallie Mae King and John Conley.
Robert received his education in the public schools of Manatee County, attending both Manatee and Palmetto High School. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the U. S. Army, earning medals for National Defense Service, Good Conduct, Armed Forces, Expeditionary, and Sharpshooter Qualification Badge for Rifle.
Robert was a man of remarkable intelligence and eloquence, commanding attention with his broad, muscular frame and smooth, dark chocolate complexion. Those who knew him well appreciated his ability to bring both joy and seriousness in equal measure. Whether offering a joyful smile or a serious frown, Robert's presence was always felt.
His personal motto was simple yet profound, "Giving it to you straight, no chaser."
Robert Lee Conley will be deeply missed by his many friends and family whose lives he touched with his unique blend of wisdom, strength, and warmth. Robert was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Frankie, Debra, Terry, Everett, and Shelia.
Precious memories of Robert will be cherished by his daughter, Melissa of Denver, Colorado; uncle, Alex (Rose) King, Sr.; cousins, Sylvester Conley, Curtis Conley, Bill (Dorothy) Conley, James (Ethel) Conley, and Clarence (Dorothy) Conley; aunts, Earlene (Freddie) King, Mamie (Leroy) King, Essie, Carrie, Daisy (Samuel) Conley, and Amelia; Robert's legacy will also be carried on by his nephews, Quinton (Takeshia) Washington, Travis Nash, Jo'Kevious Bell, Tyler Stevenson, Sr., and Everett Bell, Jr.; nieces, Erica Peterson and Emari Bell; best friend and
brother, Jake (Kathy) Moss
