Robert L. (Bob) Costa of West Wareham, formerly of Mashpee passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at Cape Cod Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Bob was born in Falmouth, MA on September 19, 1944, he was the beloved son of the late Manuel E. Costa and Mary A. (Almeida) Costa. Bob was a former Mashpee Police Sergeant and a Regional Loss Prevention Manager for Sears Roebuck. After retirement he started his landscaping business, Costa Landscaping, along with his sons. After selling his business he relocated to West Wareham, where he became the president of Royal Crest Mobile Home Association. He was passionate about his new role and cared deeply about the park and its residents, especially working alongside his best buddy, Al, whom he would always at the close of the day stop for coffee and make plans for the following day.
Bob always had a smile, great stories, and he was extremely loyal to his family and friends. He loved his sports, going to the casino, Wednesday night poker, music, and dancing. He enjoyed our park cookouts and Sunday breakfast by our own Chef Everett. More than anything, Bob is remembered as a devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
